the spiral and the sphere
My symbol...grabbed me one night and hasn't let go...
and the word "liminal" when first I read it in Thomas Moore's Care of the Soul. Here is Oxford's explanation of this word:

liminal

/limmin’l/

• adjective technical 1 relating to a transitional or initial stage. 2 at a boundary or threshold.

— DERIVATIVES liminality noun.

— ORIGIN from Latin limen ‘threshold’.
